The absence of new Venezuelan pitching figures in MLB certainly originates from problems with the base, with very few prominent prospect signings in recent years. This problem has been exacerbated in the last three years, and as a result, the emergence of new Venezuelan pitching leaders in the next five years is not expected, as we do not have enough Elite prospects in the minor leagues.
Part of the problem lies in:
- Limited technical knowledge in pitching shown by academies, which has led them to work more exclusively with position players or convert a Pitcher to a position player. Training position players is more familiar to academies, and they are more profitable and have a higher chance of securing attractive signing bonuses.
- Recruiting prospects based on anti-selection system, as it is right now, also produces consequences that lead to the massive failure of players.
- Most academies find it difficult to produce the required conditions for MLB organizations in terms of arm care, velocity, control, and breaking pitches, which consume too much time and resources with a great loss of commercial value, resulting in anti-economic points and losses in operations.
- A pitcher who throws 90 miles per hour at age 15 would be in a good position to project their future and negotiate a good signing bonus, but doubts about their conditions lead organizations to temporarily abstain, and prospects become eligible. Inconsistently, even if they improve their velo to 92-94 mph, their economic hopes for a signing bonus are substantially reduced to 10k as they are older.
- These injustices are system flaws that demotivate academies from working with pitchers, making this position literally abandoned and delaying the development of talented Venezuelan pitchers in the Major Leagues.
- MLB organizations' requirements demands a lot of knowledge to develop immature arms (12-15 yo). A healthy development is a slow process even in the most talented kid. Strengthening and to have proper consistent mechanics takes time, coach knowledge and patience which are scarce resources. This leads coaches to use desperate resources to find a way to sign prospects, which ultimately fails.
Willing to change the direction of the afore mentioned trend and to provide solid service to MLB with high-quality products in this sector we are open to work remotely and in person with academies, federations and leagues and put our updated technical knowledge, studies, researches, extensive experience in developing pitchers and computerized training programming that includes all the applied sciences of high-level pitching techniques such as Mechanics, Biomechanics, Dynamics, Biodynamics, Physics, Mental Direction to the pitching mechanism, and healthy physical conditions for the construction of Elite Pitchers all over the world. The focus is to develop young talent, aged 13-15 and aims to produce pitchers of the same caliber as Johan Santana and Feliz Hernandez.
We hope to work together to change the trend and fill the minors with talented individuals who can make a real impact.
